The Best Air Race Pilot Ever!!!

AirRacer89 at YouTube - Totally amazing. A stunt pilot rolls too fast, breaks a wing off of his airplane, goes into a diving spin, recovers, lands the plane, and walks away.

He can't walk away, both his legs are cut off by the wires ripped out of the plane

Planned?

Well, we didn't actually see him walk away, but I don't think he landed an airplane with one wing without having enough strength in his legs to use the rudder pedals. It's actually difficult for me to believe that the whole thing wasn't planned.

Consensus: fake

Submitted by Bill St. Clair on Sun, 02 Nov 2008 12:06:57 GMT

Yep. The consensus on the web is that it's fake. They even made a web site for the "pilot": JamesAndersson.com. And posted an interview about the one-winged landing with "Jimmy" on the video page, along with the YouTube video. You can read lots of discussion of the video at this Google search.

I can't believe I just saw

I can't believe I just saw this, I am not easily impressed on watching videos but I'll have to admit this video impressed me, I never saw anything like it before. That pilot deserves three golden medals, not just one for being able to control his plane in the air with just one wing. He would probably be the perfect candidate even for the most demanding pilot jobs in the world.
