The War at Sea The United States, British & Australian navies dominated the oceans. A few Iraqi mining attempts were thwarted while hundreds of cruise missiles were launched & air operations supported. Coalition naval forces also escorted supply & relief shipping into Kuwait & into secured Iraqi ports.
