Iraqis welcome coalition forces Despite counter claims in the media, and despite claims from the Iraqi Information Ministry, Iraqi's throughout the country clearly welcomed coalition forces. Some waited until they were sure the Ba'ath party and Feyadeen were no longer there to threaten them, but the welcome was wide-spread and jubilant wherever coalition forces defeated the enemy.
