Glory All Around

Science has proven
that merely looking
at photos
of beautiful women
stimulates
the pleasure centers
in a man's brain.

I can verify
that experiment.

But looking at
a real woman,
in the room,
and smelling her,
and feeling the
vibrations
of her voice,
feels so good
that it's almost
too much to bear.

The temptation
is palpable
to rip off her clothes
and have my way
with her,
right here
on the table.

But such is not
the way of the world.
So I soldier on,
in silent
suffering.
