Lindsey Williams' Life Threatened by Tycoon for Speaking Out About the Non-Energy Crisis
Jeff Fenske at To Be Free - a month back, I blogged a video of Lindsey Williams talking about the hiding of huge Alaska oil & natural gas fields, an artificial shortage created by the US government. Well, it seems that somebody has finally gotten angry about his 30 year crusade, and threatened to kill him if he doesn't shut up. So he's shutting up. Thing is, his book is available on the net, here, and here. I have also saved a copy. Next time you pay $50 to fill up your car with gas, remember that it's that way because your government wants it to be that way, and has wanted it to be that way through the presidencies of Dick Nixon, Gerry Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.

After 30 years of telling my story and speaking out on various issues that affect America and the World, the time has come for it to end. Due to my age, concern for my family and being called back to the mission field, I feel I must discontinue my incredibly difficult schedule and remove the expenses associated with the books, speaking engagements and DVD’s.

I know for a fact that what
I know for a fact that what he speaks about, as far as pumping gas back into the ground is the TRUTH. Knowing this, I have no reason not to believe him about the oil in Alaska, where else would the gas come from.

Several levels of doubt on
Several levels of doubt on this story:
1. Just because he received an alleged threat doesn't mean his claims have any validity.
2. He's a fundy preacher (not to be trusted much in matters of the mind, because his faith trumps any reasoning) and may have needed an excuse to end his failed crusade "with face."
3. His claims are easily demolished by any 3rd grade level scientist. I started reading his book (not the beginning) and within a few paragraphs, he's into his fundamentalist 6000 year old earth creationist crap.
He probably fits somewhere between "self-deluded" and "dishonest."
