But on any given day you can eavesdrop as I and fellow Wolfesblogistas ramble, maunder, ruminate, fulminate, babble, grouse, or exclaim about Beauty, Truth, preparedness, Really Stupid People Tricks, government (speaking of Really Stupid People Tricks), justice, hard money, Attitude, life, privacy, books, monkeywreching, gun rights, things that make us laugh, and dogs. If you're looking for my more formal writings, you'll find them archived at The Claire Files. The Claire Files was founded and is maintained by Debra Ricketts. It's Debra's site and I have no connection to it other than being honored by it. However, since discovering that site, I've been even more honored to have Debra as a friend -- and now to have her as the webmistress of Clairewolfe.com. Claire Wolfe (I say, speaking of myself in the third person, just like all those jerky celebrities on TV) is the author of the books The Freedom Outlaw's Handbook, 101 Things to Do 'Til the Revolution, I Am Not a Number!, Don't Shoot the Bastards (Yet), Think Free to Live Free, The Freedom Outlaw's Handbook, and (new in Fall 2005) How to Kill the Job Culture Before It Kills You. She is the co-author, with Aaron Zelman, of The State vs. the People: The Rise of the American Police State.

Claire's first novel -- a tale of freedom and adventure for teens and the rest of us -- was also written with Aaron Zelman and published in the summer of 2005. You really shouldn't miss it: RebelFire: Out of the Gray Zone.

In late 2003, the publisher and I ... oops, wait a minute, I mean she ... decided to take 101 Things and Don't Shoot out of print and replace them with one big book. That book is The Freedom Outlaw's Handbook. TFOH (horrible acronym, isn't it?) contains 179 things to do 'til the revolution. And it tells how to join an Official Conspiracy, besides.

101 Things was voted the fourth most significant non-fiction book of the twentieth century in a highly unreliable but very ego-boosting Random House-Modern Library online readers' poll. (Thank you, guys, whoever you were, who concocted that little cartel of frequent voters.)

On a more serious note, Claire wrote the screenplay for the video documentary, "Innocents Betrayed." Based on the book Death by "Gun Control" by Aaron Zelman and Richard W. Stevens, "Innocents" shows graphically and in the most heart-rending human terms how "gun control" turns innocent men, women, and children into helpless victims. This brave, low-budget production got knockout reviews from everyone from movie producer Aaron Russo to rocker Ted Nugent. Innocents Betrayed also won a Bronze Telly award and placed third among documentaries in an international film festival which normally wouldn't even have given a small, pro-gun, made-for-video documentary a second look.

Claire is the former lifestyle columnist for WorldNetDaily.com (back in the days before it became a Bushevik mouth organ, when libertarians still filled its pages). While writing for WND she discovered the small, very-hard-to-find town of Hardyville, USA, a community just west of the middle of nowhere that has never forgotten the meaning of independence. Claire currently writes about Hardyville for the online edition of Backwoods Home magazine. She is proud to write frequently for Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

More recently -- and far more mind-bogglingly -- she found herself as a regular columnist for S.W.A.T. magazine. She is substituting for a year for attorney Richard W. Stevens on the contrarian/political "Enemy at the Gate" column. Publisher Rich Lucibella and editor Denny Hansen frequently and eloquently defend Claire's presence against the protests of angry readers.

Claire lives in an Undisclosed Location somewhere in the West in a one-room cabin just large enough for herself and a pack of large, furry, muddy, riotous, but absolutely wonderful dogs. And one slightly outnumbered, but entirely unflappable cat.

Before taking up freedom writing for a living, Claire was a respected corporate communications and advertising writer with clients among the Fortune 100.
