CV-67 USS John F. Kennedy
The USS JOHN F. KENNEDY was the last conventionally-powered aircraft carrier built by the US Navy. She was decommissioned on August 1, 2007.

At the time of her decommissioning, the USS John F. Kennedy was one of only two reamining conventionally powered aircraft carriers in US service. The other was the older, USS Kitty Hawk, CV-63 which hersefl was taken out of service in January of 2009 and will be decommissioned later.

The John F. Kennedy served a long and useful career, in war and in peace, with the United States Navy since 1968 when she was commissioned. Sheserved her nation in the interest of peace and freedom for forty years, a testament to those who designed her and who have sailed and maintained her for all of those years.
