(Last Update: June 2013) SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS I am a mature professional, experienced in large program management, consulting, and executive decision-making. I meet or beat budgetary and scheduling requirements, arrive at innovative solutions to complex problems while providing exemplary leadership to subordinates and co-workers. I am customer facing, and have an absolute commitment to work ethic and integrity. I am also very proficient as an individual contributor in high-level technical postions in any number of areas. Highlights of this over the past 35 years include: Electronics Specialist/Application Manager, US Bureau of Reclamation, Snake River Area. For the last ten years I have worked as a Communcations, Instrumentation, and Electronics Specialist for the US Bureau of Reclamstion. I have been responsible for the development, procural, implementation and maintencance of electronic/technical equipment, and applications for large hyrdro-electric/irrigation diversion Dams in the Snake River Area. This has included direct, in-depth involvement in protective relays, communications schemes and equipment, security and surveillance systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, and other metering and transducer systems. Consultant, Xplore Technologies, Austin, TX. I acted as Director of Operations during the development of the GenSys II ruggedized portable computer. Responsibilities included developing customer support & product management functions, and implementing their corporate information system. Sr. Manager, Micron Electronics, Nampa, ID. I managed the product development of Micron Electronic's most successful line of notebook computers, the TREK and TREK2 products. This included managing the corporate cross functional core team overseeing product development, maketing and support from inception to end of life. I was also responsible for developing a new vendor/supplier in the Republic of China and creating a Micron liaison team to work on location in Tawian. Owner, Beaverhead Printing and Office Supply, Dillon, MT. I managed all aspects of the printing and office supply business including vendor/supplier relationships, pricing, employee considerations, marketing and advertising, all P&L responsibilities and the interface with our retail and business customers. I increased sales from $240K to $360K per year within 18 months while cutting overall costs. This was done by automating the printing operations with computer technology, including scan to plate, replacing darkroom with imaging software, automating the book keeping operations and implementing a LAN. Director of Technical Services, Structural Dynamics Research Corporation, Milford, OH. I managed the corporate Technical Services Pperation and grew it consistent with the rapid growth of the corporation at the time. I implemented process improvement by developing new Customer Education, Technical Support, Consulting, and Call Center operations which resulted in service revenue growth of 250% while holding costs to a 25% growth. I personally desinged and managed the implementation of each of these organizations with the collaboration of the management team at the time. While at SDRC I received a Vice President's Award from Thiokol Corporation for implementing SDRC's CAE system following the Shuttle Challenger disaster. Designer, Bechtel Power Corporation, Norwalk, CA. I designed pipe support structures for Nuclear Power Plants to nuclear code and regulation. I interfaced with metering and control instrumentation along the steam lines being supported at critical valve, reduction and other junctures. I was promoted to team leader for a group of engineers using the Intergraph IGDS system in the development of a Pipe Support Design Program internal to Bechtel. We completed the program within budget and on schedule and then implemented the new system, training the engineering staff in its use. I was assigned to implement this same program and our CAD progam to the BEchtel South Texas Nuclear Project in Houston, TX. He was an executive at the Intergraph Corporation. He is now retired. Max Raisor Former Associate Dean, College of Engineering, Brigham Young University Max Raisor was an instructor at BYU who became Chairman of the Design Technology Department, and then the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering.
