It is now out in the open and documented that the US Government has established and been operating a massive data collecting and mining operation (code named PRISM) over the last 10+ years targeting all American citizens, their personal communication, phone calls, emails, blogs, etc., etc. This data has already been used to target, harass, deny rights to, blackmail and threaten law-abiding American citizens because of their political beliefs against Tea Party organizations, against the Press, and against politicians, appointed officials, other elected officials, Federal Judges all the way up to the Supreme Court, and our military.

It will only get worse from here unless We the People stand up en masse and do something about it. They are collecting each of your...all of our...personal communications and interactions and using that data for trend and behavioral analysis to identify us, categorize us, and if necessary intimidate us, blackmail us, harass us, and incarcerate us. We need to all ask ourselves, is this the future and society and government we want for our kids and grandkids? Where every action, every communication, every utterance is monitored by an all intrusive government. God forbid, NO!

As a security and IT security professional, here are a few things that all Americans can do to try and protect themselves, and to fight back.

Trying to protect your personal communications:

1. Have a personal computer totally unattached to the "net" or any other network.
2. Have an email/on line presence that is annonymous and not associated with your own name, address, or any other personally identifiable information, and create it at a public internet cafe you never go back to.
3. Any normal interaction that you do not mind having recorded, carry on with your cell phone, land line, home/business internet as normal.
4. Any political or other private information should be authored and written on your non-connected computer, and then taken to a public internet location for transmittal. Never use the same location in succession, and make them as far away from where you actually live as possible, with no "pattern" that can zero in your place of residence. This will require some thought and planning.
5. Any and all political/private communications should be conducted through your annonymous online presence, and, as above, do it at public internet cafe...never posittng from the same place in succession.
6. Any and all political/private phone communications, use a throw away cell phone and have it tied to a psuedo identity that is not your own. Discard them after use.
7. Do not establish any patterns with your annonymous use. Those recording/monitoring programs will know where you annonymous identity posts/emails/calls from and to and WILL track it.

1. Use the appartatus they have constructed against them.
2. Organiza large NO USE campaigns to impact the companies who provide the infrastructure. Your monthly payments are funding it. Stage a single, massive, turn off the net/phone day demanding that these companies cease and desist.
   • After the first "day" effort, have already prepared a "week long" effort for one month later.
   • After the "week" effort, have already prepared a "month long" effort for one month later.
   • After the "month" effort, have already prepared a "three month" effort for one month later.
   This will do two things. 1st, it will hit these companies in the pocket book and may force them to stop providing info, or go bankrupt. 2nd, it will also slowly wean a large number of Americans off of the "program." Be prepared to go permanently offline in this manner if necessary. That's a sacrifice...but, in reality, this is a war.
   
3. Create/organize massive denial of service campaigns, where tens of millions of people get online and stay online constantly for 24 hours, 48 hours, a week, a month, etc. where they constantly broadcast, text, email, post, etc. massive amounts of "Z" messages...all the time. Find or build programs if necessary to do this where the amount of time for transmittal, and the characters or message to be sent (over and over) can simply be selected and then the program left running for that amount of time. 50 million people doing this 24x7 constantly will fill their archives with these "Zs," and make an important statement and load up their processors/analylzing software, etc. with useless data they have to "weed" through for millions of annonymous users who use the principles spoken of above in "Personal Communications." The more data, the better.
4. Finally, the only thing, short of physical, military attacks to take down the infrastructure (ie. the huge data vaults, the huge server farms, etc.) is for Americans to elect individuals of character, whose life and experiences are un-impeachable and not subject to blackmail, and who go into office with the express purpose of keeping their oath to the constitution and dismantling these obtrusive, unconstitutional systems and programs. Establish individual groups, forums, blogs, and online presences to that end, using the principles outlined in the personal coommunications section above to do so.
5. Also, and I believe this is also necessary and will lead by example in this area (and in fact have been dpoing so online for 15 years), for those willing, establish yourself completely in the open on these matters and let them know that there are individuals, each of whom represent ten thousand psuedo/annonymous individuals online, who will fight them tooth and nail. These "in the open" efforts then become the cyber/digital "John Hancock" type signatures to punctuate the minutemen who are acting in the background.

We are seeing that framework intentionally and with a will dismantled and destroyed before our very eyes, and they are doing it with disdain. It is us, We the People, who must stop it.
