A lot of time has passed. Sadly, many of the events spoken of in these novels have come about in terms of the growth of Islamic Terror, the growth in technological capabilities of potential adversary nations of the U.S., the continued erosin of the US southern border, continued erision of constitutional rights for the sake of security, and many of the advancement the US military has made in the intervening years. So the novel has conintued to be applicable to today's events.

It was also written unapologetically from a US Consitutional perspective and some of the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere reflect a few readers' dissasitfaction with that aspect of the novel. I make no aoplogies. All I can say is that everyone has a right to their own beliefs. I poured out some of mine into this novel, along with what is rather widely acclaimed as a very exciting, technological, global war story.

To this day I hope readers will enjoy it.

It is a story of faith and the ultimate triumph of good over evil in the face of horrific obstacles and setbacks. From leaders in high offices of power, to the soldiers and sailors of the involved nations, to housewives and their children, down to kids on the street, it is also the story of people - common and not so common - caught up in the titanic struggle.

It sees the United States of America savaged by manipulating, committed, and ruthless foreign leaders, and that savaging ultimately produces the will and fortitude of another "greatest generation".

The novel addresses key politcal, societal, and military issues including the inherant dangers of off-shore outsourcing, the dangers of uncontrolled borders, the impact of unbridled military downsizing, the pitfalls of over reliance on high technology, methods of applying "Homeland Security" so as to avoid abuse, and how firm societal moral foundations make a pivotal difference in a nation's ability to maintain a prolonged war effort.

May the reading of this novel give folks pause as they contemplate the potential for horror in today's current events, may they be heartened by the strength and vitality of a good, moral people, and may they be motivated to remain strong and committed to liberty...a liberty based on the unalienable rights of the individual, on the free will of those same individuals, on morality, on faith in the Hand of Providence, and on individual accountability...at all levels.
