Dear Gary,

Regrettably I have not read that particular book, but am at least generally familiar with Bohm's work.  In fact, his earlier work was one of my inspirations and remains so.

David Bohm
David Bohm

A great number of scientists do not wish to believe that Bohm's hidden variable theory (i.e., the quantum potential part of it) has been highly weaponized in great secrecy, but five nations now have deployed such quantum potential weapons and a sixth nation is closing in fast. I would personally like to see it used in beneficial life-saving medical therapy; e.g., at least in theory there is a special quantum potential connecting every AIDS-causing HIV virus on the planet, and every one of them could be disrupted and killed in a single strike, at least theoretically, even in all the affected living bodies including the monkeys as well. When the quantum potential is localized (e.g., to a city struck by anthrax sprayed from the air and with a couple million folks sick and dying), a proper strike could also just directly kill all the anthrax, not only accomplishing the "treatment of the populace" to save them, but also completely decontaminating the city at the same time.

Certainly the Aharonov-Bohm effect is near and dear to our heart!  The MEG's operation depends on it to achieve COP>1.0; it is impossible without it. So the vagaries of the AB effect have been a great preoccupation for some time now.

I did find additional very useful material in its generalization by Michael Berry into the Berry phase, and Berry's website contains a great deal of excellent downloadable papers. We also looked a little bit at Aharonov and Anandan's further generalization into the present geometric phase, but we're still chewing cautiously away at that one as we get the time to do so.

If I get the chance, the book you referenced is one I do wish to read, and intend to do so "one of these days".  It's just one of the many things I have on a very lengthy list, exceeding the limited time available so far.

Best wishes,

Tom Bearden

Dear Tony,

Thanks for drawing my attention to the recent correspondence.  It is very interesting.  I have been away and had not got back to the website.  I was even more struck by Dr. Myron Evans' claim to have produced a GUFT.  I have downloaded his pdf file, but not yet read it.  However, I note that Dr. Evans wishes inter alia to relate it to particle theory.  This reminded me.  I have been wondering for a while if Tom Bearden and others associated with his work have read  D. Bohm and B.J.Hiley, The Undivided Universe: An ontological interpretation of quantum theory, Routledge, 1993.  This was the last book that David Bohm wrote (with Benjamin Hiley, also at Birkbeck College, London) before he died.  It includes a lucid account of the Aharonov-Bohm Effect, as well as much other interesting material. If anyone in your neck of the woods has read it, I would be interested to know what they think of it.

best wishes

Gary
