It was an early attempt to give a visual picture of asymmetrical regauging. It wasn't very good; too mechanical. So it was one of those things that was useful at the time, but mostly to sharpen my own mind so I could further refine the concept. That's about all I seem to remember; probably somewhere in my files I have the original and maybe some sort of write-up.

 

Today I would just say that one should "pin" the external circuit's collecting charges, so they cannot move as current or be moved as current, at least momentarily. Then one "switches on" an external source of potential, which potential flows over the pinned collecting charges. Their diversion of some of that energy flow is their "collection" of energy from the potential (or from the Poynting energy flow, which Poynting flow is only the energy that is diverged from the overall energy flow, by the interaction of the "receiving" charges. The Poynting flow is not the total energy flow through space.

 

Then once the intercepting charges are “potentialized”, one switches away the external source of potential, having drawn (in the perfect case) no current at all from it. One simultaneously completes the separated external circuit, as with a shunt diode. The collected energy in the depolarized closed external circuit now will be discharged (through some sort of load, such as a resistor, light bulb, etc.).

 

In that case, we simply used the external source to asymmetrically regauge those pinned source charges in “static” condition. Once they were potentialized and that circuit was dipolar, we switched away the external potential source while simultaneously completing the circuit, with the external source no longer in it.

 

In theory, the source of potential V, can thus furnish and continue to furnish to receiving charges q any amount of energy W desired each time, by the simple equation W = Vq. And one never exhausts the source.

 

This takes advantage of the fact that any EM potential or field decomposes (via Whittaker 1903 and 1904) into a set of multiple energy flows. The energy is actually flowing in (as virtual photons being absorbed) from the vacuum into the source charge(s) in the external dipolar source. The source, being dipolar, exhibits the proven broken symmetry of opposite charges. Thus it receives that virtual state energy (disordered virtual photons), coherently integrates the virtual energy into observable magnitude (we have later specified the exact mechanism for that negative entropy coherent integration), and re-emits the absorbed energy as real observable photons in all directions.

 

That is a continuous process and mechanism. So since we have a great, natural, God-given negative entropy process going on by every charge and dipole in the universe, it behooves us to just catch some of the freely flowing continuous energy flow! And not use half the caught energy to destroy the source dipolarity and thus kill the free extraction of EM energy from the vacuum.

As it appears to be a valid OU concept which, one assumes, merits inclusion on the OU list on the website, perhaps a write-up would help?

 

Or has it been superseded by other material in EFV?
