Dear Bart, No, it isn't that the reporting is one-sided; it's just that I have not studied the HAARP and do not have what I regard as "good" information on it at all. It appears that it started off the Eastlund patents, which if true means it's a novel but ordinary set of EM effects. However, there's no REAL information out there on it, and there's so much disinformation out there, that so far I cannot separate the wheat from the chaff, pretty well like everybody else. I do know from looking at the Eastland patents, and other experiments that they found that avalanche discharges of energy could be triggered from the ionosphere, and could be triggered onto incoming vehicles such as ICBM re-entry vehicles. At that point, it appears that officials decided to try to master this effect for missile defense, particularly since we had none. Now that is conjecture on my part; I really don't have solid evidence to that effect. But I suspect it's true. If so, then they would have another real quandary, regarding conflicts with the missile defense agreements with the Russians etc. If they then just decided to go ahead with it and deploy some sites, they would be directly in conflict with those treaties. The bottom line on that, if true, would be that they would have to very deeply conceal the real purpose (missile defense), else it would place all the international agreements in an uproar, get the American people up in arms, get the Russians up in arms, etc. Oddly, something like that is starting to happen now; the Russians are accusing us of violating the ABM treaty point blank. So if they DID decide to go ahead with HAARP as a missile defense system, with deployment, there will be (1) a cover story (with an elaborate deception plan) and (2) iron control of the real information which would be kept in the deep freeze. However, that would of course not fool the Russians, so eventually -- probably before long -- there will be hell to pay. That or something like it may be what has started, with the Russians accusing us of complete violation of the ABM treaty. With all the rattle-rousing on ABM between Russia and the U.S. right now, it may be that the process of exposure, etc. has started. Those are my best conjectures at this point, but let me emphasize that they are still conjectures. Ironically, one does not have nearly as good sources on this country's projects as are available on the Russian projects if one looks. I can state that every major weapons lab on earth now is aware of longitudinal EM waves and their weapon implications. E.g., you can even download formal papers (e.g., by Rodgirues and Lu) on the Los Alamos National Laboratory web site, dealing with "undistorted progressive waves" (imperfect longitudinal EM waves with transverse wave residues) and also with more perfect longitudinal EM waves. The fact that their velocities can exceed the speed of light is also published openly on such sites. This would imply that ANY expensive and large new system might well have a longitudinal wave capability, or have an add-on adjunct that could add one when desired. Best I can do for you; that's all I have and that will have to suffice. My major effort right now is trying to resolve the energy crisis, and get the scientific mindset changed so that self-powering electrical power systems, taking their energy from the vacuum, can be rapidly developed and emplaced worldwide. Otherwise, it is very clear that, about 2007, the failing world economy will generate such conflicts and pressures on nations that all the arsenals of weapons of mass destruction will be unleashed. In my opinion, that is being deliberately "engineered" by the "High Cabal" (as Churchill called the secret financial controllers of much of the world's finances) to "solve the overpopulation problem". They intend that those WMD arsenals shall be unleashed, destroying civilization and about three-quarters of the humans on earth along with it. These nice fellows already have their hollowed-out mountains with elaborate facilities, some defended by foreign troops appearing to be Pakistani commandos or similar -- special forces types who do not identify with America's main population groups (Caucasian, Black, Oriental, Hispanic). Several of these deeply secretive hideaways are inside the mountains outside Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Others are scattered throughout the country.
Any way we look at it, HAARP or no HAARP, we are in for it unless we blunt the energy crisis and those oil curves. It boils down to this: If those self-powering systems are not rolling off the assembly lines en masse by first quarter 2004 (and I would be much happier if it were by first quarter 2003), then it's all over for all of us, and civilization as we know it is finished. We will then inescapably get that "great Armageddon" of the unleashing of all those weapons of mass destruction we have been avoiding now for several decades. Best wishes, Tom Bearden

Is this a similar facility to the ones the Russians have? The patent mentions "The radiation is transmitted at a frequency which excites electron cyclotron resonance to heat and accelerate the charged particles." Is the device described in this patent, and thus the HAARP facility, a phased-array Longitudinal wave transmitter? It is fairly well known that this facility has the potential to be used as a "novel electromagnetic weapon" and it is possible that the U.S. may ALSO be using it to induce earthquakes, engineer the weather and climate, and trigger volcanic eruptions...
