Dear Steve,

The Russians were indeed using the shuttle launches for convenient target practice, offsetting the shots from the launch so as not to hit the vehicle and kill it.  Bob Gladwin took a picture of the actual strike of one of those weapons, offset from a shuttle launch in latter Nov. 1985, and we published it.  About two weeks later, on Dec. 12 the same or a similar weapon hit the Arrow DC-8 in Gander Newfoundland.

So they were indeed practicing using the scalar interferometer weapons against shuttle launches, and probably would also have included test shots against the shuttles after launch (during boost phase and shortly thereafter).

For a mathematical explanation of how scalar interferometry works, see M.W. Evans et al. (15 authors), "On Whittaker's Representation of the Electromagnetic Entity in Vacuo, Part V: The Production of Transverse Fields and Energy by Scalar Interferometry," Journal of New Energy, 4(3), Special Issue, Winter 1999, p. 76-78.  That entire issue of JNE is devoted to some 60 papers in O(3) higher group symmetry electrodynamics.  So the full technical justification for everything we reported with respect to the scalar interferometry weapons, is now in the literature.

We also know that by the end of 1985 the Russians planned to be ready for control of space, the oceans, etc. with these weapons.  He said so years earlier, in a meeting in Europe with the heads of the Communist parties in Europe.  He specifically indicated that the use of "peaceful coexistence" was allowing this to be developed and prepared.

With the kill of the Arrow in Dec. 85, we then should have seen more kills as a very gradual pressure started being built up.  Indeed that happened, because we did see the kill of a Minuteman missile, the kill of the Challenger, etc.  In each case there were quite clear indicators.

Thus many of those suspicious flashes --- associated with the fatal Challenger launch and the launch of other shuttles --- probably were weapons tests.  In the case of the Challenger, the Russians (KGB) apparently had already decided to kill it, and so one would expect multiple fatal shots, continuing in a manner where they had already demonstrated our guys would not recognize what had happened, because our fellows back then knew nothing of scalar interferometry, and would not believe it.

That series of shots and interventions came to a sort of screeching halt when a friendly little nation simply destroyed several very large Russian missile storage facilities and such strategic targets.  One shot knocked out one-third the missiles in one of the large Russian fleets.  So it quit being fun and games for the KGB at that point, because that little nation already had at least working prototype quantum potential weapons and could have blasted Russia right off the face of the earth at the time.  And the Russians knew it.  It was not sweet reason and diplomacy that backed them down; it was an iron fist.

In the aftermath of all that activity, which eerily stayed well behind the scenes and was never recognized for what it was by the open news, the Soviet economy eventually collapsed, the Berlin Wall came down, and you know the rest.

What is not commonly known is that the potential "big strategic strike show" started again on two occasions in 1997.  We got by without the first strike (scheduled in February) and then the second of those strikes was scheduled to occur on May 1, 1997.  That strike intention went almost right down to the wire.  It was very narrowly averted in the nick of time, by the friendly little nation readying to unleash the quantum potential weapons (to which a certain change had to be made to get by a counter that was implemented).  The strike was within two days of being launched (and it would have destroyed the West in about two hours) before it was then forced to stand down.  Several other colleagues and I played a very minor role in that affair.  Eerily, just about the time that great strategic armada was standing down, Secretary of Defense Cohen was making a revealing statement (referring to the earlier scalar interferometry weapons) at a conference in Georgia where he said:

"Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves… So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations…It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts, and that's why this is so important."  [Secretary of Defense William Cohen at an April 1997 counterterrorism conference sponsored by former Senator Sam Nunn.  Quoted from DoD News Briefing, Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, Q&A at the Conference on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and U.S. Strategy, University of Georgia, Athens, Apr. 28, 1997.

I don't think either the Secretary, the President, or the U.S. Intelligence community had the foggiest notion of that great armada and its schedule to attack, or the fact that it was just then forcibly standing down.  We missed Armageddon by a hair's breadth.

Contrary to standard opinion, the so-called "Cold War" was never as cold as represented.  Behind the scenes there were continual strategic maneuverings and preparations for the most spectacular strategic attacks ever dreamed of by the human mind.  We got through it (at least until now) by the grace of God and by the guts and stamina of a friendly little nation also having some of the most powerful weapons on earth.

Let us hope we continue to get through it.  Unfortunately, the war we have entered now is of quite a different nature, but if it unleashes biological warfare (smallpox and anthrax, e.g.) and nuclear detonations in our cities (hostile nuclear weapons are already here; read Lunev's book), then a real holocaust could well be unleashed. As an example, suppose smallpox is unleashed again.  Here is a direct quote from Laurie Garrett:

"Were a terrorist to disperse the smallpox virus, for example, populations that were once universally vaccinated would now be horribly vulnerable.  Today the U.S. government stows only about 15.4 million doses of the smallpox vaccine—enough for less than seven percent of the American population.  The World Health Organization (WHO) keeps another 500,000 doses in the Netherlands, and other national stockpiles total about 60 million more doses of varying quality and potency.  If the smallpox virus were released today, the majority of the world's population would be defenseless, and given the virus' 30 percent kill rate, nearly two billion people would die."  [Laurie Garrett, "The Nightmare of Bioterrorism," Foreign Affairs, 80(1), Jan./Feb. 2001, p. 76-89.  The quote is from p. 77].

Most persons do not realize just how lethal biological warfare organisms can be when sprayed.  Common tularemia, e.g., is deadly lethal when sprayed, even if one only inhales a few of the organisms. That has been in official open BW handbooks for several decades.  However, today we really don't know what may have been done with modified tularemia (rabbit fever) as far as potential terrorist use.  At least we haven't seen much on it in the open press.  Ken Alibek, a high ranking Russian biowar expert who worked at Biopreparat for 17 years, serving as its Deputy Director from 1988 to 1992 when he defected, has stated that the Russian scientists modified tularemia to be antibiotic resistant, making it even more dangerous. Alibek was the overseer of research, testing and manufacturing at some 40 or more biological warfare sites in Russia and Kazakhstan.  His information is also confirmed by at least several other defectors from those same facilities.  Alibek also confirms that other scientists in Iraq, Iran, etc. also produced modified BW agents, including tularemia.

Note that the U.S. has managed to increase its stockage of vaccine dosages a bit, but we and most everyone else are still in the same shape Garrett spoke of.

Anyway, the unleashing of the smallpox alone, with the resulting 2 billion deaths,  means that nearly one third of the people on earth would die, from just one or a few major release(s)  of the smallpox.  And that's just one of the things in the arsenal of the terrorists.

We point out that many American biological scientists are still prone to downplay the destructive potential of BW warfare.  Indeed, they tend to verbally assault those who attempt to warn the public as "inciting the public" and thus terrorizing the public themselves.

One will see what such gentlemen have to say when a hundred thousand or a million or so Americans lie dying in some large American city, or cities, and the present treatments we have are insufficient to say the least.  Is that million figure reasonable, or is this "terrorizing the gullible public?"

First, to show that all this has been officially known for some time, we quote from a 1987 official DoD guidebook:

"Anthrax causes a high mortality rate when the infection results from ingestion (up to 70 percent fatal) or inhalation (almost 100 percent fatal) if treatment is not promptly begun."  [Soviet Military Power, DoD, 1987, p. 110.]

An official U.S. study showed that a spray attack with anthrax, sprayed from a piper cub type aircraft, by two terrorists (one spraying and one flying), using a common agricultural sprayer, and dispensing 100 kilograms of anthrax spores on a calm night over the greater Washington, D.C. area, would produce from one to three million casualties.  And most of those casualties would die.  We quote directly from Betts:

"A 1993 study by the Office of Technology Assessment concluded that a single airplane delivering 100 kilograms of anthrax spores – a dormant phase of a bacillus that multiplies rapidly in the body, producing toxins and rapid hemorrhaging – by aerosol on a clear, calm night over the Washington, D.C., area could kill between one million and three million people, 300 times as many fatalities as if the plane had delivered sarin gas in amounts ten times larger."  [Richard K. Betts, “The New Threat of Mass Destruction,” Foreign Affairs, 77(1). Jan./Feb. 1998, p. 32.  The study referenced is:  U.S. Congress, Office of Technology Assessment, Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction: Assessing the Risks, Government Printing Office, Washington, 1993, p. 54.]

So the real worry in the coming MidEast War may well be the threat right here in our cities.

Best wishes,

Subject: More evidence of Challenger 'shoot-down'?
Date: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 16:22:11 -0600

I was reading through the play-by-play timeline of the Challenger disaster, and found this interesting tid-bit:

T+45.217
greypixel.gif
A flash is observed downstream of the shuttle's right wing.

T+48.118
greypixel.gif
A second flash is seen trailing the right wing.

T+48.418
greypixel.gif
A third unexplained flash is seen downstream of the shuttle's right-hand wing. 70 mm tracking camera closeup: A brilliant orange ball of flame, apparently, emerges from under the right wing and quickly merges with the plume of the solid rocket boosters. This phenomenon, observed during analysis of tracking film after launch, has been seen on previous launches.

This sequence was captured well before the vehicle exploded. Is this an EM 'missile' that they saw? Notice that this has been seen on previous launches (evidence of low power testing by the Russians?)

Just a thought.
