Zeroing in on the key passage in section 6 of the UNPA, "The President shall not be deemed to require the authorization of congress..." in its war making agreements under article 42 of the UN Charter; congress could regain some of the constitutional power it sold the executive in 1945 by amending the act to expunge one very mischievous little word, to wit, "not". That would return the war making power in this instance to 536 gasbags versus one. It is doubtful that any of these billy-whackers could whoop for war as well as the windbag-in-chief, but it might be amusing to see if other views exist in Windbagdad by the Potomac and if vox pop can influence any of them.

Shy Wolf, the United Nations Organization was created in 1945; the name itself was commonly used as a title for the Allied side in World War II. Read the last couple of volumes in Churchill's extensive (and grossly self-serving) history of World War II, and you'll see plenty of references to the Allies as "the United Nations." The title was also used in the announcement of the post-war victory parade in New York City.

That newspaper headline has me confused... "1943 Times Herald front page"... The UN (I hate those sonsofbitches, so don't take this wrong) wasn't created (out of the League of Nations) until 1945. So to read the UN headline in 1943 causes me to stumble and think, "PhotoShop".

You will get your wish. We may not live to see it, but it is inevitable. It has happened to every empire in history without exception, and there is no logic in assuming that America will be the first to survive intact.

There are those whose aim for 2,000 years has been to crush and destroy worship of the Creator and His precepts of morality and compassion, and replace those with a materialistic worship of Man and the world, and a renunciation of decency. I've come to the conclusion, regardless of the empty poetical words in the Declaration and other pieces of parchment, that what our latter day elites wanted was to control their own home grown American mercantilist version of the British system. In other words they wanted the whole pie and not just be a slice off of someone elses. And that is exactly what we got. The hypocrisy in American history runs so deep that even the Valles Marineris canyon of Mars pales in comparison. That our overlords from the beginning would forbid their subjects to engage in the very acts that they themselves had just finished doing to their brethren should be all the proof anyone needs to know.

I've believed for more years than I can count that one day the blue helmets would be "invited" into the US to "help" put down domestic uprisings due to an all but engineered collapse in order to bring about some mythical stability. Whatever freedoms you fantasize you presently have would be permanently put on the back burner while our saviors patrolled the streets. Every outburst by angry domestic "insurgents" would be labeled a threat to the peace and brutally put down. Maybe people would be even packed up and carted off to God knows where for their "safety". Sounds like so much moon-battery but with all the machinations going on it makes evil sense. I'm certain that the ordinary folks in the USSR, China, Germany, Cambodia etc.. would have loved to have known years in advance of their doom in order to escape or stop it all together.

I really don't know. But the modern Englishman, such few as are left in that melting-pot country, is much less prepared to accept government intrusion into his life than the modern American. We talk a lot. They riot.

The Americans who revolted against George III from 1774-1783 were almost 100% Englishmen.

So it is not up to the government we live under, it is up to US. Whether or not we would be a different people under British rule than what we are now, is debatable. What's YOUR gut feeling on that question?

There is almost not one single year which does not have an entry. Some years have several.

Even as comprehensive as it is, I have detected at least one omission: The Allied intervention in the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917, when 200,000 Allied soliders, including 13,000 Americans, invaded Russia in hopes of defeating the Bolsheviks. That story is here:

As time goes on, I view my military service (USMCR 1984-1992/Desert Shield/Storm), something I used to look upon with pride, as a sucker's bet.
