I couldn’t agree with you more. In fact we would love to file just such a suit and we filed the tort to do just that. However, we have hit a road block trying to find a lawyer willing to do so. I have talked to many lawyers and apparently there are so many police related suits in the State of Oregon that unless it is a case involving something like brutality all the lawyers I have spoken to seem unwilling to become involved. I personally believe part of this is because of the unprecedented nature of this case. How often to Police file suit for being stalked and how often does it drag on for so long and the file become 4 inches thick? I am willing to believe there is someone like you out there who can see what you do. I have the entire case laid out in binders and could easily share it with any lawyer willing to listen and I am willing to travel anywhere to do this. Any assistance or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. In fact anyone reading this that can provide guidance in the way of legal representation I would love to hear from you.

Mr. Grigg, sir, you're right on the money, this isn't rational! That's because the police are trying to aggravate him into either BECOMMING the criminal they are SUGGESTING he is or LEAVE. This IS "social control"!(1) Isn't there a lawyer around who would like to OWN Sunriver THRU A TITLE 42 CIVIL RIGHTS SUIT!? I'm only a meager para-legal but seems they're RIPE for the picking!!!

Speaking of "having access to guns," maybe we should abolish the ATF because of the most recent in a long line of scandals?

That is a link to all of the stories the LA Times have put up recently about Fast and Furious. They are actually starting to do some good reporting. Apparently the supervisors were just promoted -- which i assume is a payoff to keep them from talking -- the FBI report is at odds with the ATF's version, and even more guns from the scandal have turned up at additional crime scenes!

Will Grigg, would you mind writing a story about the ATF scandal? As Lew Rockwell said, you are the foremost expert in the world on police state issues and abuses, and I certainly think this qualifies. More and more stuff seems to come out every week about this scandal, so I wonder how deep the story really goes?

The claims of that drug runner in chicago that the US fed gov allowed drugs to flow in exchange for info sure doesn't seem too crazy now, does it?

People shouldn't walk away from a career in law enforcement, they should Run! In many articles it has been made quite clear that it's not a matter of just a few bad apples rather the whole barrel is rotten. Adding a good apple changes nothing.

A far better route for People seeking employment is to create or work for a private security firm.

Thanks for the great writing. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the police response to Robert Foster's 'crimes.' I too have been accused of such crimes - namely of making a false report of police misconduct (crimes of such serious nature that it calls for the death penalty and qualifies my police force as a violent terrorist gang). Since the accusations against me for making a false report of police misconduct, I have been to the police station - holding out my hands and begging them to arrest me for this crime and they refuse. Why? Because my report of police misconduct is true and they know it.

It is saddening to me that Police have a socially accepted level of honesty and trustworthy! From the beginning the legal system has treated my father as if his side of the story does not even exist. I would like to thank William Grigg so very much for being the FIRST to listen and share my Father’s story. I'd hazard to guess Will would rather give up his very voice before taking ads that promote hookers and blackjack. I am just appalled by that video of Ms. Jones's arrest. At least a couple of the people in the audience seemed disturbed by what was happening, yet not ONE of them got up to defend that woman against the crime being committed on her. If a few of them had simply stood up and blocked the way to the door as the thugs were hauling Jones away, it would have made a powerful, nonviolent statement.

Anyone present at that meeting who later expressed one word of outrage to someone else should hang his head in shame, having done nothing at the time. Have we really become so gutless? Where would we be if the citizens of Lexington had stood by in silence while the British confiscated their arms, only to complain to the neighbors about it later?

So, the Sunriver cops know they've been hired to p in the punchbowl, and they just don't like it that a lone dissenter from the SROA sees their quasi authority for exactly what it is. They'll hate him until the end of time even though he will never do a thing to harm them. The cops should just get over it. They won, Mr. Foster lost, and the wealthy ne'er-do-wells who saw sheep not being sheared and couldn't stand to not be robbing them under the color of law will get just what they deserve some day.

A lesser man than Mr. Foster would be calling in all kinds of anonymous tips to the police about drug activity or child porn rings amongst the SROA ne'er-do-wells.

Wait. The cops are already in on all that kind of stuff. Rather, he would be calling in tips about unlawful cutting of trees on their private property, or hunting spotted owls, or having secret meetings about undoing the special taxing district or building coi ponds without permits. Then the ne'er-do-wells will be sure to get pulled over for non-existent violations and be searched, tazed, beat and arrested. Watch how fast they would implement Mr. Foster's sensible recommendations then.

SofG... The recent law that was passed in Israel makes it punishable to boycott settlement goods but before it was passed I believe they struck down provisions for suing third parties and foreigners. Not to say they didn't intend to sneak it in but it didn't make the final cut. Jimmy Carter being sued for expressing his opinion is the height of evil absurdity. An article by Phil Giraldi about Rick Perry and his kowtowing before Tel-Aviv certainly opens ones eyes to groups who would silence any criticism of their activities. Whether it's on the global stage or the one local to you one thing is certain: cockroaches don't like to have the light of inquiry shone upon them.

This pattern of behavior also reminds me of how the legal mavens in Israel now seek to lay charges of "hate crimes", which are nebulous and completely subjective, upon those who even criticize that great bastion of democratic "freedom". You now can be slapped with a suit from half way around the globe should some socialist nebbish get their panties, bought and paid for by YOU, in a twist!
