[The Linux/GNU operating system]: clean, elegant, powerful, and incredibly easy to learn. It runs on "obsolete" hardware, and does indeed function as a "desktop" in all respects. Oh, it's cooperatively developed in the highest traditions of AnCap. Anyone who reads these words who has not yet tried it is doing themselves a disservice. The [billstclair.com] site runs on Debian Linux, my personal choice as well.
