Drug War Responsible for Overdose Deaths

Sixteen dead in one weekend from drug overdoses. Who's to blame? Well the proximate cause is the black-marketeers who sold the bad drugs. But the real cause is the war on some drugs. The black market exists because the illegal status of some drugs makes selling them so incredibly lucrative. End the war, regulate the sale of currently illicit drugs the same way alcohol is regulated, and the black market will disappear overnight. People will then know exactly what they're getting, how much they're getting, and how much is too much for a given body weight. Problem solved. All that is necessary is to realize that adults own their own bodies and have the absolute right to buy and ingest anything they want. Anything. And it ain't nobody's business if they do.
