Bathing Cats is a humorous story I received via email. Hehe.

Know that although the cat has the advantage of quickness and lack of concern for human life, you have the advantage of strength. Capitalize on that advantage by selecting the battlefield. Don't try to bathe him in an open area where he can force you to chase him. Pick a very small bathroom. If your bathroom is more than four feet square, I recommend that you get in the tub with the cat and close the sliding-glass doors as if you were about to take a shower. (A simple shower curtain will not do. A berserk cat can shred a three-ply rubber shower curtain quicker than a politician can shift positions.)

Know that a cat has claws and will not hesitate to remove all the skin from your body. Your advantage here is that you are smart and know how to dress to protect yourself. I recommend canvas overalls tucked into high-top construction boots, a pair of steel-mesh gloves, an army helmet, a hockey face mask, and a long-sleeved flak jacket.

Ron Paul's Texas Straight Talk - Congress Exceeds Its Credit Limit - The national debt is now over $6 trillion. The newest budget increases the federal government's credit limit by $1 trillion, with automatic yearly increases that will bring it up to $12 trillion in ten years. That's $44,000 for every man, woman, and child in the country. It's time to stop. No more federal borrowing. Ever.

Claire Wolfe - I'm a Tax Resister - Claire makes a public declaration that she has not filed a federal income tax form for several years. Afraid I'm not that brave. I have children to support. Bad excuse? Maybe. [claire]

Alex Constantine at Asgard Infobank Archives - Nutra-Sweet: the Aspartame Pentagon Biological Warfare Weapon - I didn't read this whole article, since it's very long, but it solidified the opinion of aspartame that I gained a number of years ago from a Naturopath I respected. Don't use aspartame, aka NutraSweet™. Sugar is much less harmful. [whatreallyhappened]

The FDA is ever mindful to refer to aspartame, widely known as NutraSweet, as a "food additive"-never a "drug." A "drug" on the label of a Diet Coke might discourage the consumer. And because aspartame is classified a food additive, adverse reactions are not reported to a federal agency, nor is continued safety monitoring required by law.1 NutraSweet is a non-nutritive sweetener. The brand name is misnomer. Try Non-NutraSweet.

Food additives seldom cause brain lesions, headaches, mood alterations, skin polyps, blindness, brain tumors, insomnia and depression, or erode intelligence and short-term memory. Aspartame, according to some of the most capable scientists in the country, does. In 1991 the National Institutes of Health, a branch of the Department of Health and Human Services, published a bibliography, *Adverse Effects of Aspartame*, listing not less than 167 reasons to avoid it.

Carl Donath - The New York Special Gun - a layman's interpretation of New York weapons law, concluding that a slug gun with a rifled barrel is the only statewide-unregulated militia-capable weapon.
